About the position
This job is for an IT Specialist who will be responsible for providing technical support to employees and ensuring smooth daily operations within the organization. They will staff the helpdesk, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate with various teams to resolve problems related to network connectivity, operating systems, and other critical operations. The ideal candidate should have excellent customer service skills, be resourceful and adaptable, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Familiarity with SaaS productivity platforms, user management systems, and experience with Windows, macOS, and/or Linux systems is required. Preferred qualifications include experience with network engineering, knowledge of networking protocols, and familiarity with mobile device management.
Responsibilities
- Staffing the helpdesk and participating in IT Triage rotation to answer questions and handle requests
- Troubleshooting and fixing technical issues impacting employees
- Collaborating with various roles to troubleshoot and fix blocking issues
- Handling network connectivity, operating systems, identity and access management, onboarding and offboarding, and other business-critical operations
- Providing excellent customer service and creating an excellent customer experience
- Maintaining and improving internal team documentation
- Familiarity with SaaS productivity platforms and user management systems
- Experience provisioning and administering Windows, macOS, and/or Linux systems
- Experience with network engineering and understanding of networking protocols
- Managing Audio/Video conferencing setups
- Familiarity with Mobile Device Management
- Experience supporting production lines, medical systems, and/or laboratory settings
- Software scripting skills
- Strong grasp of security fundamentals and compliance requirements

- Experience with network engineering across multiple vendors like Fortinet, Cisco, and Ubiquiti (preferred)
- Understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, ARP, DNS, DHCP, WPA (preferred)
- Experience managing Audio/Video conferencing setups (preferred)
- Familiarity with Mobile Device Management such as JAMF and Microsoft Intune (preferred)
- Experience supporting production lines, medical systems, and/or laboratory settings (preferred)
- Software scripting skills with tools like python, ruby, shell, or similar (preferred)
- Strong grasp of security fundamentals and compliance requirements (preferred)
