Mechanical Engineering Intern

As a mechanical engineer intern at Neuralink, you will have the opportunity to design and produce hardware solutions for brain-machine interface devices, including surgical robotics and automation. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to determine design criteria and build systems quickly and effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and offers the chance to own projects from concept to production.

• Design and produce hardware solutions for brain-machine interface devices, including surgical robotics, automation, microfabrication, and more
• Own projects from concept to production
• Collaborate with neuroscientists, biologists, and engineers to determine design criteria and build systems quickly and effectively
• Understand and apply engineering first principles
• Have 1+ years of mechanical engineering industry experience, including owning products from concept to production
• Familiarity with conventional machining and rapid prototyping technologies
• Experience with precision design and manufacturing
• Familiarity with advanced imaging techniques
