About the position
As a mechanical engineer intern at Neuralink, you will have the opportunity to design and produce hardware solutions for brain-machine interface devices, including surgical robotics and automation. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to determine design criteria and build systems quickly and effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and offers the chance to own projects from concept to production.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce hardware solutions for brain-machine interface devices, including surgical robotics, automation, microfabrication, and more
- Own projects from concept to production
- Collaborate with neuroscientists, biologists, and engineers to determine design criteria and build systems quickly and effectively
- Understand and apply engineering first principles
- Have 1+ years of mechanical engineering industry experience, including owning products from concept to production
- Familiarity with conventional machining and rapid prototyping technologies
- Experience with precision design and manufacturing
- Familiarity with advanced imaging techniques
Requirements
