About The Position

IDB Bank is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented IT Asset Manager to manage and optimize the organization’s technology assets and ensure compliance. The role focuses on hardware and software asset management, licensing, procurement, and IT operations as they relate to those assets. The position develops and promotes IT asset management strategies, policies, approaches, and best practices across the organization’s digital technology assets, while maintaining accurate asset repositories and supporting the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) throughout asset lifecycles. The role oversees software licensing and hardware lifecycle compliance, maintains documentation and reports, and works with internal stakeholders and vendors to improve asset governance, utilization, and cost efficiency. It requires familiarity with regulatory and industry standards, experience with ServiceNow CMDB, and collaboration with Procurement and Legal teams. The position operates on a hybrid schedule in New York, NY.

Requirements

Proven experience in IT asset management, focused on hardware, software, and licensing.
In-depth knowledge of software licensing models, terms, and conditions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Experience with ServiceNow CMDB is mandatory.
Experience working with Procurement and Legal teams.
Experience interpreting contractual language.
CMDB IAITAM Certification, CSAM, or CITAM is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Qualys.
Familiarity with Solarwinds.
Familiarity with ITIL practices and frameworks.

Responsibilities

Develop and promote IT asset management strategies, policies, approaches, and best practices across the organization’s digital technology assets.
Plan, monitor, and record assets.
Work with business stakeholders and asset owners to maintain the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of IT asset repositories, including the CMDB and IT Asset Management Table.
Continuously improve technology spending strategies and tracking of company assets in the CMDB throughout their lifecycle.
Assist in managing the CMDB and ensuring its contents are accurate.
Apply IT asset management practices across Infrastructure, Applications, Development, Procurement, Information Security, and physical security.
Verify and audit CMDB content.
Create governance and strategic asset management functions in accordance with NY-DFS and CIS policy requirements and standards.
Establish and maintain procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset and configuration management.
Research industry best practices and incorporate them into organizational practices.
Maintain an accurate software asset inventory, including version control, licensing details, and usage statistics.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and optimize software utilization.
Monitor and enforce software licensing agreements and hardware lifecycle compliance with organizational policies.
Generate and maintain reports on licensing and lifecycle.
Create and maintain documentation concerning software licenses, agreements, and compliance processes.
Generate reports for management on software usage, compliance status, and cost optimization opportunities.
Build and maintain relationships with software vendors to stay informed about licensing changes, updates, and promotions.
Evaluate and negotiate licensing agreements to achieve cost savings and maximize value.
Work with Procurement to manage software contracts and renewals.
