About The Position

The IRD Coordinator is part of the Food & Beverage division within Room Service and reports to the F&B Manager. The role supports smooth Room Service operations by coordinating guest orders and shift responsibilities with Room Service Captains and Servers. The coordinator takes Room Service orders by phone, communicates them through the appropriate channels, processes Food & Beverage outlet checks and guest payments, completes daily paperwork, and monitors pool activity.

Requirements

Cash-handling and customer-service experience.
Basic accounting skills, including the ability to accurately perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to work with POS and computer systems, 10-key equipment, and multi-line telephone systems.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues and read, write, and speak English.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and sound judgment.
Ability to remain calm, work collaboratively, and protect confidential guest and hotel information.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Micros.
Proficiency in Excel.
Fluency in additional languages.

Responsibilities

Answer Room Service calls, take guest orders according to established standards, and communicate orders to the Room Service Captain.
Develop a thorough understanding of menus and describe available offerings to guests.
Accurately process checks from Food & Beverage outlets and handle credit cards, personal checks, cash, and other accepted payment methods.
Process void and complimentary checks correctly.
Balance daily paperwork and maintain the assigned bank with minimal discrepancies.
Coordinate shift responsibilities with Captains and Servers and monitor pool activity.
