About The Position

Vercel is seeking an Internal Communications Manager to scale how employees receive the context they need to make informed decisions. The role shapes how employees hear from company leaders and one another, oversees internal communication channels and cadence, and ensures employee communications align with what Vercel communicates externally. The manager will build, operate, and grow communications programs, collaborating with communications leadership and teams across People, Finance, Legal, Design, and executive leadership. The position reports to the Head of Communications and is based in Vercel’s San Francisco office, with in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. The role includes developing internal communications processes and a company calendar; coordinating company-wide and leadership communications; managing communications workstreams for major announcements and organizational changes; creating employee engagement and ambassador programs; and aligning internal messages with communications to customers, press, and partners. The manager will also measure communications performance and use employee questions and feedback to improve understanding.

  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with an emphasis on clarity, accuracy, and making information useful to the audience.
  • Experience independently managing communications projects from planning through delivery, coordinating stakeholders, and balancing competing deadlines.
  • Curiosity about AI, research, and product development, and willingness to ask questions to understand topics well enough to explain them.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships, gather input, provide editorial guidance, and keep projects moving with busy partners.
  • Sound judgment with sensitive information and ambiguity, including knowing when to decide independently and when to seek guidance.
  • Enjoyment of creating practical, repeatable processes that improve communication quality and consistency.
  • Ability to respond to feedback and adapt as priorities change.
