About The Position

Contech Engineered Solutions is seeking a Summer 2027 Engineering Intern to work with its team in Cincinnati, Ohio. The intern will work closely with the design team, take on a consultative role, and support the field marketing team in building relationships with civil engineering clients and contributing to commercial objectives. The position offers hands-on experience applying engineering knowledge to support engineers, contractors, and developers on civil engineering projects. Local candidates only.

The intern will collaborate with department design engineers on project-specific solutions, assist with engineering designs and plans under senior engineers’ supervision, and perform calculations and analyses supporting design decisions. The role also includes cross-functional teamwork, support for submittals, production and product delivery, possible site visits, and maintaining engineering standards and procedures.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate engineering program; Civil Engineering is preferred.
• Ability to prepare and review standard engineering documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, database management software, and basic CAD.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

• Civil Engineering program enrollment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with department design engineers to present project-specific solutions to clients.
• Provide designs and advice to help secure and integrate company products into site plans.
• Assist in creating engineering designs and plans under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support design decisions.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support effective communication and timely project completion.
• Support submittals, production, and product delivery.
• May conduct site visits to assess project progress and quality.
• Maintain engineering standards and procedures.
• Support the field marketing team in establishing and building relationships with civil engineering clients.
