About The Position

Contech Engineered Solutions is hiring an Engineering Intern to work with its team in Alexandria, Minnesota, during the summer of 2027. The intern will gain hands-on experience in a collaborative engineering environment, work closely with the design team, and support the field marketing team in building relationships with civil engineering clients and contributing to commercial objectives. The role involves applying engineering knowledge to support engineers, contractors, and developers on civil and/or environmental engineering projects.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate engineering program; Civil Engineering is preferred.
Ability to prepare and review standard engineering documentation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, database management software, and basic CAD.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

Civil Engineering undergraduate studies are preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with department design engineers to present project-specific solutions to clients.
Provide quality designs and advice to help secure and integrate company products on site plans.
Assist in creating engineering designs and plans under the supervision of senior engineers.
Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support design decisions.
Work with cross-functional teams to support effective communication and timely project completion.
Support submittals, production, and product delivery.
May conduct site visits to assess project progress and quality.
Maintain engineering standards and procedures.
