About The Position
Collins Engineer, Inc. is hiring a Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 at its Fairfax, Virginia office. The internship offers civil engineering students hands-on experience with structural inspections and projects, including bridge and ancillary inspections. Work will be divided between the office and field, and may include preparing and/or checking structural calculations. Interns will have opportunities to grow while working with experienced professionals.
Requirements
- Be a junior or senior working toward a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
- Have a valid driver's license.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bluebeam, or Civil 3D.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDF or other PDF editing software.
Responsibilities
- Participate in structural projects, including bridge and ancillary inspections.
- Prepare and/or check structural calculations.
