About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Interior Repair Technician to work in one of its high-tech vehicle Inspection Centers. The role involves repairing automotive interior materials and components, including cloth and fabric, leather, plastic, vinyl, upholstery, center consoles, seats, dashboards, headliners, and stitching. Technicians also color-match and dye cloth and fabric. The posting describes this as a mid-level role and requires at least three years of professional automotive interior repair experience. The schedule is first shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with mandatory overtime possible based on business needs. Technicians work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may be exposed to heat or cold. The role requires using vehicle equipment, tools, and safety equipment; lifting up to 60 pounds independently; and meeting the stated age, driver’s license, and English-language requirements. Employment is contingent on passing a complete background check, and the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive interior repair experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age and possession of a valid driver’s license.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment and sometimes be exposed to heat or cold.
Ability to use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Passing a complete background check is a condition of hiring.

Responsibilities

Repair damaged cloth, fabric, leather, plastic, vinyl, and other upholstery.
Repair center consoles, seats, dashboards, headliners, plastic components, and stitching.
Color-match and dye cloth and fabric.
Work in a fast-paced vehicle reconditioning and production environment.
