About The Position

Horace Mann is seeking an Insurance Producer to help educators address financial challenges and achieve long-term financial security. The producer receives mentorship from an experienced agent, hands-on industry experience, and training. The role offers a performance-based 1099 compensation structure with a 36-month incentive plan, enhanced commissions, monthly incentives based on sales volume, quarterly production bonuses, a sign-on bonus, and uncapped earning potential. Top performers may qualify for all-expenses-paid trips. Producers can work without an external office requirement and may work in person, in the field, and/or from an office setting. They can leverage established books of business while building their own practice, serve a niche educator market, and use a multi-line product portfolio and streamlined sales processes. A mentor agent provides guidance and support.

Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
Self-motivation and ability to manage an independent business.
Ability to obtain or currently hold state Life & Health and Property & Casualty licenses.
