About The Position

Horace Mann is seeking an Exclusive Agent to build and manage an agency serving educators in a defined territory in Clarksburg, West Virginia. The agent will identify insurance and financial solutions that help educators achieve affordable coverage and financial security, develop market access and relationships, present products to groups and individuals, and participate in networking and community events. The role offers a dedicated Service Representative to handle client service work, technology and training, a multiline product portfolio, and market and relationship-building programs. Compensation is performance-based under a 1099 arrangement, with incentives during the first 48 months.

Requirements

Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong business management skills.
Resident State General Lines Insurance Licenses: Life and Health Insurance License and Property and Casualty Insurance License.
Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses, if applicable in the region.

Nice To Haves

2–5 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry (preferred).
