About The Position

Horace Mann is seeking an Exclusive Insurance Agent in Medina, Ohio. The agent will build and manage an insurance agency focused on educators, helping them find affordable insurance solutions and achieve financial security. The role involves building relationships and market access, presenting products to groups and individuals, and developing a business through networking and community engagement. A dedicated Service Representative handles client service work so the agent can focus on growing the business.

Horace Mann offers a performance-based 1099 compensation model, an incentive package during the first 48 months, an exclusive territory, training and technology, a multiline product portfolio, and market and relationship-building programs. No external office is required for the first two years.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and business management skills.
• Resident state General Lines Insurance Licenses: Life and Health Insurance License and Property and Casualty Insurance License.
• Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses, if applicable in the region.

• Two to five years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry is preferred.
