About The Position

Horace Mann is seeking an Exclusive Insurance Agent in Mentor, Ohio. The agent will build and manage an agency serving educators, identifying insurance solutions that support their affordability and financial security. The role involves developing market access and relationships, presenting products to individuals and groups, and participating in networking, community, and industry events. Agents are expected to invest time and resources in the long-term success of their business.

Compensation is performance-based under a 1099 arrangement, with an industry-leading 48-month incentive package and quarterly production incentives during the first 48 months. Horace Mann offers a dedicated Service Representative to handle client service work, an exclusive territory, technology and ongoing training, a multiline product portfolio, and market and relationship-building programs. No external office is required for the first two years.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Business management skills to build and manage an agency.
• Resident state Life and Health Insurance License.
• Resident state Property and Casualty Insurance License.
• Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses, if applicable in the region.

Nice To Haves

• Two to five years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry is preferred.
