About The Position

Horace Mann is seeking an Exclusive Insurance Agent to help educators find affordable insurance solutions and achieve financial security. The agent will build and manage an agency, develop relationships and market access, present products to groups and individuals, and participate in networking, community, and industry events. The role requires investing time and resources in the long-term success of the business.

Horace Mann offers performance-based 1099 compensation, an incentive package for the first 48 months, a dedicated Service Representative, an exclusive territory, technology and training, a multiline product portfolio, and market and relationship-building programs. No external office is required for the first two years.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong business management skills.
• Resident state Life and Health Insurance License.
• Resident state Property and Casualty Insurance License.
• Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses, if applicable in the region.

• 2–5 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry.
