About The Position
Horace Mann is seeking an Exclusive Agent in Odessa, Texas, to build and manage an insurance agency serving educators. The agent will help educators find affordable insurance solutions and achieve financial security, while developing market access and strong client relationships. The role offers an exclusive niche and defined territory without overlap with other agents, plus a dedicated Service Representative for client service work so the agent can focus on building the business. Horace Mann provides technology, training, a multiline product portfolio, and market and relationship-building programs to support agency growth. Compensation is performance-based under a 1099 arrangement, with an incentive package and quarterly production incentives during the first 48 months.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong business management skills.
- Resident state Life and Health Insurance License.
- Resident state Property and Casualty Insurance License.
- Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses, if applicable in the region.
Nice To Haves
- 2–5 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry (preferred).
