About The Position

Horace Mann is seeking an Exclusive Agent in Modesto, California. The agent will help educators find affordable insurance solutions and achieve financial security while building and managing an agency. The role involves developing market access and relationships, presenting products to groups and individuals, and engaging in networking and community and industry events. Horace Mann provides a dedicated Premier Service Representative to handle client service work, allowing the agent to focus on growing the business. Agents receive technology, training, a multiline product portfolio, and market and relationship-building programs to support their operations.

Compensation is performance-based under a 1099 arrangement, with an industry-leading 48-month incentive package and quarterly production incentives during the first 48 months. Incentives are tied to activity and success.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong business management skills.
• Resident State General Lines Insurance Licenses: Life and Health Insurance License and Property and Casualty Insurance License.
• Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses, if applicable in the region.

Nice To Haves

• 2–5 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry is preferred.
