About The Position
Horace Mann is seeking an Exclusive Agent to build and manage an agency serving educators in a defined territory in Gate City, Virginia. The agent will help educators identify affordable insurance solutions and achieve financial security by presenting insurance and financial products to groups and individuals. The role involves developing market access, building relationships and a network, and investing time and resources in the long-term growth of the business. Horace Mann offers an exclusive niche and territory, performance-based 1099 compensation, a 48-month incentive package, dedicated client-service support, technology, training, a multiline product portfolio, and market and relationship-building programs.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong business management skills.
- Resident state Life and Health Insurance License.
- Resident state Property and Casualty Insurance License.
- Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses, if applicable in the region.

- 2–5 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry.
