About The Position
Horace Mann is seeking an Exclusive Insurance Agent in Ellijay, Georgia. The agent helps educators find affordable insurance solutions and achieve financial security while building and managing an agency and developing a client network. The role involves presenting products to groups and individuals, expanding market access, and participating in networking, community, and industry events. Horace Mann offers performance-based 1099 compensation, an industry-leading 48-month incentive package, and quarterly production incentives during the first 48 months. Agents receive a dedicated Service Representative to handle client service work, an exclusive territory, technology and ongoing training, a multiline product portfolio, and market and relationship-building programs. An external office is not required for the first two years.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong business management skills.
- Resident state General Lines insurance licenses: Life and Health Insurance License and Property and Casualty Insurance License.
- Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses, if applicable in the region.

- 2–5 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry (preferred).
