About The Position
Horace Mann is seeking an Exclusive Insurance Agent in Mount Vernon, Illinois. The agent will build and manage an agency serving educators, help clients find affordable insurance solutions and achieve financial security, and grow a business through relationship-building, market access, networking, and product presentations. The role offers an exclusive territory, a multiline product portfolio, technology and training, market-development support, and a Dedicated Service Representative to handle client service work. No external office is required for the first two years. Compensation is performance-based under a 1099 arrangement and includes an industry-leading 48-month incentive package, with incentives tied to activity and success and quarterly production incentives during the first 48 months.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and business management skills.
- Resident state General Lines Insurance Licenses, including Life and Health and Property and Casualty insurance licenses.
- Ability to obtain FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses, if applicable in the region.
Nice To Haves
- Two to five years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry (preferred).
