About The Position

The Instructor researches, develops, and delivers engaging lesson plans in a specialization such as dance, vocal, creative movement, yoga, sports, visual arts, or other physical or arts activities. The role provides group and/or individual assistance to at-risk children and youth in nonacademic activities. The position is based at Van Dyke Cornerstone in Brooklyn, New York, and is part of CAMBA EYD Programs, which operate after-school and summer camp programs serving elementary and middle school students.

Requirements

• Experience working with youth.
• Three years of professional experience in the specialization.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a doctor's note certifying good health.
• Ability to obtain and maintain proof of negative TB test results.
• Ability to obtain and maintain State Central Registry (SCR) clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Department of Health fingerprint clearance (DOH).
• Ability to obtain and maintain Department of Education fingerprint clearance (DOE).

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and execute fun and engaging lesson plans in the assigned discipline area.
• Provide group and/or individual assistance to at-risk children and youth in nonacademic activities.
