About The Position

Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for an Instructor for the course MARS 2P89 Medieval Art, Architecture and Society for the Fall D2 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation for a full course is $15,775.20, with an estimated 390 hours of work. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Requirements

PhD completed in medieval studies or a demonstrably related field
Evidence of satisfactory teaching experience at the university level, including course development, lecturing, and online components
Demonstrated breadth of knowledge of medieval history, literature, art/architectural history (e.g., research, publications, and course development)

Responsibilities

Scheduled contact time with students
Non-classroom time including preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration
Handling grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty
