Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for an Instructor for VISA 2P95 Introduction to Animation for the Winter term (D3). This course provides an introduction to the principles and concepts of animation, covering creative and basic technical knowledge of animation tools and techniques, as well as historical and contemporary approaches. It also delves into the critical history of animation within visual art, including its historical and political developments and key practitioners. The role involves lectures and lab sessions, totaling 4 hours per week, with a specific section scheduled for Thursdays from 18:00 to 22:00. Instructors are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course for a 2-hour/week lecture equivalent. Duties include scheduled contact time with students, preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration.
