About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) MUSI 3P00 Sound Recording and Production – Winter (D3). The course focuses on the advanced use of Digital Audio Workstations for full audio production, including recording, editing, and mixing techniques, and the use of recording and studio equipment. It is a lab-based course, 3 hours per week, delivered in-person during the Winter (D3) term on Fridays from 13:00 to 16:00.

Requirements

• Relevant Master of Music degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Significant teaching experience in music technology at the undergraduate level.
• Demonstrated effectiveness of teaching through student or peer teaching evaluations, letters of recommendations, or equivalent documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to use the BRIGHTSPACE online learning management system or equivalent systems in other institutions.

Responsibilities

• Scheduled contact time with students.
• Preparation of lectures.
• Student consultation.
• Marking and grading.
• Course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty.
• Responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course if employed in a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent.
