About The Position

Brock University is seeking an Instructor for CANA 2P92 Canada’s Institutions and Icons for the Winter term. This position involves scheduled contact time with students, preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration. The compensation for a full course is $15,775.20, effective September 1, 2026. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Requirements

  • PhD or ABD status in a Doctoral program in Canadian Studies, History (with a specialty in Canadian History), or Literature (with a specialty in Canadian Literature)
  • Successful academic teaching experience and teaching competence
  • Knowledge of Canadian Studies relevant to the applicable course
  • Demonstrated experience with online instruction and seminar leading

Nice To Haves

  • In the absence of applicants who meet the qualifications above, candidates with a Master's degree with evidence of strong background in Canadian Studies, may also be deemed suitable.
