About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) for SPMA2P27 Introduction to Sport Finance Blended, which is scheduled to run on Fridays from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The compensation for this position is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (nominally 195 hours) or $15,775.20 per full course (nominally 390 hours). Instructors employed in a 2-hour/week lecture, or its equivalent, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.

Requirements

• Prior teaching and/or research experience in this topic area.
• Relevant work/industry experience.
• Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations) in this topic area.

Nice To Haves

• PhD in Sport Management or related discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scheduled contact time with students
• Non-classroom time including preparation of lectures
• Student consultation
• Marking and grading
• Course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty
