About The Position
Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for an Instructor for SPMA3P93 Sport for Development Blended course. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The course is scheduled to run in the Winter D3 term, with blended sessions on Tuesdays and Fridays from 16:00 to 19:00. The compensation for this role is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (nominally 195 hours) or $15,775.20 per full course (nominally 390 hours). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.
Requirements
- Prior teaching and/or research experience in Sport Management or related discipline.
- Relevant work/industry experience.
- Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level in this topic area, supported by letters of reference and course/performance evaluations.
Nice To Haves
- PhD in Sport Management or related discipline is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Scheduled contact time with students
- Non-classroom time including preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration
- Handling grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty
