About The Position
Brock University is seeking an Instructor for MUSI 2P41 Woodwind Techniques for the Fall (D2) term. This role involves providing practical and theoretical instruction in woodwind instruments through lectures, 3 hours per week. The delivery method is in-person, with classes scheduled on Mondays and Tuesdays from 16:30 to 18:00. The compensation for this position is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (nominally 195 hours) or $15,775.20 per full course (nominally 390 hours). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Duties and responsibilities align with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement, including scheduled contact time, lecture preparation, student consultation, marking, grading, and course administration.
Requirements
- Relevant Music Master's Degree
- Music teaching experience in woodwind at university level
- Demonstrated teaching competence (e.g., references, course evaluations)
Responsibilities
