About The Position

Brock University is seeking an Instructor for MUSI 1P78 Brock Big Band for the Fall/Winter term (D1). This course focuses on selected jazz arrangements for rehearsal and performance, aiming to develop students' chart reading, technical, and interpretive skills. The delivery method is in-person, with rehearsals scheduled for 3 hours per week for two terms, and performances as required. The class is scheduled for Mondays from 19:00 to 22:00.

Requirements

• Relevant Master of Music degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Significant professional experience conducting instrumental ensembles and/or directing jazz ensembles at the undergraduate level.
• Demonstrated effectiveness of teaching through student or peer teaching evaluations, letters or recommendations, or equivalent documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to use the BRIGHTSPACE online learning management system or equivalent systems in other institutions.

Responsibilities
