About The Position
Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for an Instructor for the MARS 1F90 Medieval and Renaissance Civilizations course for the Fall/Winter D1 term. This position involves scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time, including preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration. The compensation for this role is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (195 hours nominally) or $15,775.20 per full course (390 hours nominally). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.
Requirements
- PhD in medieval and Renaissance studies or related discipline.
- Evidence of satisfactory teaching experience at the university level, including course development and large class lecturing.
- Experience with online course components and activities.
- Demonstrated breadth of knowledge of medieval and Renaissance Cultural history (e.g., research, publications, and course development).
