About The Position
Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for an Instructor for HLSC 2P50 (Introduction to Human Sexuality) for the Fall D2 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The role involves scheduled contact time with students, preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration. Requirements
- PhD in Public Health, Psychology, or related field.
- A sound knowledge of human sexuality and sexual theories is required.
- Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience with large class size at the undergraduate university level.

- All required documentation must be included, including letters of reference and course/performance evaluations.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with online delivery tools (MS Teams, Brightspace, Lifesize, etc.) is an asset.
- If no qualified PhD applications have been received, those at ABD or those with a master’s degree combined with relevant experience will be considered.
Responsibilities

- Course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty
- Responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course for instructors employed in a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent.
Benefits
- Compensation effective September 1, 2026 - $7,887.59 per half course (195 hours nominally)
- Compensation effective September 1, 2026 - $15,775.20 per full course (390 hours nominally)
