Brock University is seeking Marker-Graders for the HLSC 2P50 Fall D2 course, Introduction to Human Sexuality. Compensation is based on qualifications, with rates effective September 1, 2026. Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in Health Sciences or a related discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Available to provide feedback in person and, when required, online.

Nice To Haves

  • Brock fourth year (honours) students in Health Sciences or related discipline will be considered if vacancies remain.
  • Previous Marker/Grader experience.
  • Completion of this course within the last three years.
  • Experience or training with online synchronous and asynchronous course support.
  • Proficiency with online delivery tools (e.g., Lifesize, Microsoft Teams, Brightspace), computer spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), and electronic audience response systems.

Responsibilities

  • Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
  • Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
  • Potentially invigilate mid-terms and examinations for this course.
  • Potentially enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.

  • Compensation based on qualifications (Master’s Degree Complete: $36.00/hour, Undergraduate Degree Complete: $31.04/hour, Third Year Complete: $22.91/hour, Second Year Complete: $20.15/hour, First Year Complete: $19.00/hour).
