This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) GLOBAL HEALTH Compensation Marker-Grader positions are paid according to the qualifications that the employee holds. Marker-Grader positions are paid according to the qualifications that the employee holds. Master’s Degree Complete ($36.00/hour) - Paid to employees who have completed a master’s degree. (Rate effective September 1, 2026) Undergraduate Degree Complete ($31.04/hour) Paid to employees who have completed a four-year honours degree or a three-year pass degree. (Rate effective September 1, 2026) Third Year Complete ($22.91/hour) - Paid to employees who have completed the third year of an undergraduate honours degree. (Rate effective September 1, 2026) Second Year Complete ($20.15/hour) Paid to employees who have completed the second year of an undergraduate degree. (Rate effective September 1, 2026) First Year Complete ($19.00/hour) Paid to employees who have completed the first year of an undergraduate honours degree. (Rate effective September 1, 2026)

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in Health Sciences or related discipline.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Available to provide feedback in person and, when required, online.

Nice To Haves

  • Brock fourth year (honours) students in Health Sciences or related discipline will be considered if vacancies remain.
  • Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset.
  • Completion of this course within the last three years is an asset.
  • Experience or training with online synchronous and asynchronous course support.
  • Proficiency with online delivery tools (e.g., Lifesize, Microsoft Teams, Brightspace), computer spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), and electronic audience response systems.

Responsibilities

  • Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
  • Provide written feedback to students that will clearly identify the basis of the grade assigned; whether it is due to substantive content, or to written communications, including spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization of the submission.
  • Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for this course, at the request of the course instructor.
  • Enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
