About The Position
Brock University is seeking Marker-Graders for HLSC 4P69 Fall D2. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 employee group. Compensation is based on qualifications, with rates ranging from $19.00/hour for first-year undergraduate completion to $36.00/hour for a Master's Degree completion (effective September 1, 2026). The role involves marking assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams, providing written feedback to students, and potentially invigilating mid-terms and examinations or entering grades into databases. Requirements
- An undergraduate degree in Health Sciences or a related discipline.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset.
- Completion of this course within the last three years is an asset.
- Experience or training with online synchronous and asynchronous course support.
- Proficiency with online delivery tools (e.g., Lifesize, Microsoft Teams, Brightspace), computer spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), and electronic audience response systems.
- Available to provide feedback in person and, when required, online.

- Brock fourth year (honours) students in Health Sciences or related discipline will be considered if vacancies remain.
Responsibilities
- Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
- Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
- Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course, at the request of the course instructor.
- Enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
