About The Position
Brock University is seeking an Instructor for Half Course HLSC 3P91 for the Winter D3 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group and focuses on Cardiac Rehabilitation. The compensation is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (nominally 195 hours). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. The role involves scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time including lecture preparation, student consultation, marking, grading, and course administration.
Requirements
- A PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Cardiovascular Health/Rehabilitation, or related field
- A sound knowledge of cardiovascular disease and rehabilitation
- Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience with large class size at the undergraduate university level.
Nice To Haves
- ABD or Master's degree combined with relevant experience (considered if no qualified PhD applications are received after the deadline)
- Experience with online delivery tools (MS Teams, Brightspace, Lifesize, etc.) is an asset.
