About The Position
Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for an Instructor in RESEARCH METHODS IN EPIDEMIOLOGY for the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. This position is for the Winter D3 term, with compensation effective September 1, 2026. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Requirements
- A PhD in Epidemiology, Public Health, or related field.
- A sound knowledge of research design for investigation in the human population is required.
- Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience with large class size at the undergraduate university level.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with online delivery tools (MS Teams, Brightspace, Lifesize, etc.) is an asset.
- After the deadline, if no qualified PhD applications have been received, those at ABD or those with a master’s degree combined with relevant experience will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Scheduled contact time with students
- Non-classroom time including preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty.
