About The Position
Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) for the course COSC 5P06 Principles of Mobile Cloud Computing. This position is for the Fall D2 academic term. The compensation is $7,887.59 per half course (195 hours nominally) or $15,775.20 per full course (390 hours nominally), effective September 1, 2026. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. The duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement and include scheduled contact time with students, preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science or related discipline. Senior doctoral candidates will be considered if no qualified applicants are found.
- Experience in teaching quantitative research methods.
- Prior teaching and/or research experience in the study of Principles of Mobile Cloud Computing.
- Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
