About The Position

Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) for the course COSC 4P78 Robotics. This position is effective September 1, 2026. Instructors are responsible for scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time, including preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration. Requirements

  • PhD (complete or enrolled in) in Computer Science or related discipline, specializing in Robotics is preferred.
  • University-level teaching experience in Robotics.
  • Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).

Responsibilities

  • Scheduled contact time with students
  • Non-classroom time including preparation of lectures

  • Marking and grading
  • Course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty
  • Responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course for instructors employed in a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent.
