About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) for the course CLAS/IADM 2P50 - Myth, Mutation and Transformation. The compensation for a half course is $7,887.59 and for a full course is $15,775.20, effective September 1, 2026. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Duties and responsibilities include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration.

Requirements

• PhD in Classics or closely related field, in hand or near completion.
• Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
• Demonstrated organizational and communication skills.
• Prior teaching and/or research experience in the study of Classics.

Responsibilities
