About The Position
Brock University is seeking an Instructor for CLAS 1P92 - Discovering Ancient Rome for the Winter D3 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation for a half course is $7,887.59 and for a full course is $15,775.20, effective September 1, 2026. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Duties include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as lecture preparation, student consultation, marking, grading, and course administration.
Requirements
- PhD in Classics or closely related field, in hand or near completion.
- Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (references and course/performance evaluations).
- Demonstrated organizational and communication skills.
- Prior teaching and/or research experience in the study of Classics.
Responsibilities
