About The Position
This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for ARTL 4P40: Arts Management: Planning, Operations, Context – D3. This course is also offered as DART 4P40, HAVC 4P40, MUSI 4P40. It focuses on effective management in the arts to fulfill social and artistic mandates, with an emphasis on advocacy, organizational design, strategic planning, and industry context to evolve an arts business, organization, or career. The course format is a seminar, meeting for 3 hours per week. The in-class session is scheduled for Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Requirements
- Relevant MA or PhD or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous teaching experience at the university level in the same subject field is required, for example in STAC/ARTL 4F40 or 4P40, with specific focus on Planning, Operations, and Context for Arts Management.
- Demonstrated teaching competence through previous course evaluations and 3 letters of reference.
- Demonstrated experience in experiential learning and online teaching.
Responsibilities
- Scheduled contact time with students
- Non-classroom time including preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty.
