About The Position
Brock University is seeking an Instructor for ECON 2P11, European Economic History, for the Winter D3 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation for a half course is $7,887.59 and for a full course is $15,775.20, effective September 1, 2026. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. The position is subject to course enrollments and budgetary approval.
Requirements
- A PhD or ABD in Economics, or MA in Economics, with teaching experience.
- Experience in teaching quantitative research methods.
- Prior teaching and/or research experience in European Economic History.
- Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
Responsibilities
- Scheduled contact time with students
- Non-classroom time including preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration
- Handling grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty
