About The Position

Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for an Instructor in HISTORY OF ECONOMIC THOUGHT II. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation for the role is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (nominally 195 hours) and $15,775.20 per full course (nominally 390 hours). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. The duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement and include scheduled contact time with students, preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, course administration, grade appeals, and cases of academic dishonesty.

Requirements

  • A PhD or ABD in Economics or MA in Economics with teaching experience.
  • Experience in teaching quantitative research methods.
  • Prior teaching and/or research experience in the study of Economics.
  • Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
