About The Position
Brock University is seeking an Instructor for ECON 1P91 - Principles of Microeconomics for the Winter D3 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation for the role is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (195 hours nominally) or $15,775.20 per full course (390 hours nominally). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Duties include scheduled contact time with students, preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty, in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement.
Requirements
- A PhD or ABD in Economics or MA in Economics with teaching experience.
- Experience in teaching quantitative research methods.
- Prior teaching and/or research experience in the study of Economics.
- Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
