About The Position

Brock University is seeking an Instructor for the course CANADIAN ECONOMIC ISSUES (ECON 2P54) for the Winter D3 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (nominally 195 hours) or $15,775.20 per full course (nominally 390 hours). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Duties include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as lecture preparation, student consultation, marking, grading, course administration, grade appeals, and cases of academic dishonesty, in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement.

Requirements

  • A PhD or ABD in Economics or MA in Economics with teaching experience.
  • Experience in teaching quantitative research methods.
  • Prior teaching and/or research experience in the study of Economics.
  • Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
