About The Position

Brock University is seeking an Instructor for the ACTG 4P63 (Audit II) course for the Fall 2026 semester. This position is within the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The nominal workload for a half credit course is 195 hours, with compensation effective September 1, 2026. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture are also responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. The course content focuses on Assurance II Audit sampling, responding to assessed risks with emphasis on the audit of financial statement cycles, completing the audit including audit reports, review engagements, and other current topics in auditing.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Accounting or Business related discipline is desirable
  • Current CPA designation is desirable
  • Prior teaching experience in accounting or taxation or relevant work experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop course outline
  • Prepare and deliver scholarly lectures
  • Create and administer assignments, tests, and final exams within timelines
  • Schedule and maintain student contact time/hours
  • Be responsible for grading of student assignments
  • Manage disciplinary and academic integrity for the course, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty, in coordination with the Chair
