About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) for the ACTG 2P40 - Commercial Law course. The course provides basic legal considerations for business organizations. The compensation for this role is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (nominally 195 hours) or $15,775.20 per full course (nominally 390 hours). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture, or equivalent, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.

Requirements

• Must possess a Bachelor of Law degree
• Several years of practitioner experience
• Experience in teaching at the university or college level

Responsibilities

• Scheduled contact time with students
• Non-classroom time including preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration
• Handling grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty
