About The Position
This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) for the MPAC 5P24 - Business Law course. The course covers the legal environment of business and basic legal considerations for business organizations, including forms of organization, and the liability of owners, shareholders, directors, and managers. Compensation is effective September 1, 2026, with a rate of $7,887.59 per half course (nominally 195 hours) and $15,775.20 per full course (nominally 390 hours). Instructors employed in a 2-hour/week lecture, or equivalent, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor of Laws degree
- Several years of practitioner experience
- Prior teaching experience at the college or university level
Responsibilities
- Scheduled contact time with students
- Non-classroom time including preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration
- Handling grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty
