Requirements

  • Working towards a university degree with a concentration in accounting, audit, finance, commerce, business or economics, and math preferably working towards the CPA designation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent time management skills and strong analytical skills.
  • Currently enrolled in a registered co-op program.
  • Available on a full-time basis for the duration of the co-op term.
  • Current work authorization for Canada is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge on ACL would be a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide independent assurance, advice, and insight to Fidelity’s risk management, governance, and control processes.
  • Accumulate hours towards the CPA designation as the Fidelity Internal Audit function is CPA pre-approved.
  • Gain an understanding of the internal audit department, its audit processes, tools, techniques, and concepts by participating in a wide variety of assurance and advisory services within the Internal Audit department.
  • Collaborate with the wider internal audit team in Fidelity International Limited (FIL), given Internal Audit has a direct reporting line to FIL, and participates in global audits across Canada.
