About The Position

This part-time substitute position is part of a pathway operated in partnership with a school district. The substitute may be assigned to different school sites based on daily staffing needs and must be ready to travel between locations, respond promptly to available shifts, and commit to covering open assignments. There is no guaranteed daily shift or location. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The pay rate is $22.50 per hour. As a California Schools Talent Collaborative (CSTC) employee, the employee will initially be placed at a school site as an Instructional Provider for three months. During that period, the employee is expected to apply for an equivalent district position and complete the district's formal hiring process. After successfully completing that process and serving at least three months with CSTC, the employee will be eligible to transition to direct district employment. Under the direction of the Expanded Learning Site Supervisor, the Instructional Provider Substitute facilitates and implements program activities, provides assigned instruction to TK–12 students, and supervises students. The role offers hands-on experience in a school environment and a potential pathway toward a career in public education.
