About The Position

This substitute-pathway role is part of a partnership between the California Schools Talent Collaborative (CSTC) and a school district. The Instructional Provider Sub may be assigned to different sites across the district based on daily staffing needs. Daily shifts and locations are not guaranteed, so the employee must be available Monday through Friday for the entire shift schedule, travel to other sites when needed, and respond promptly to available shifts. CSTC employees are placed at a school site as Instructional Providers for an initial period of three months. During that time, they are expected to apply for an equivalent district position and complete the district’s formal hiring process. After successful completion of that process and at least three months of CSTC service, they may become eligible to transition to direct district employment. Under the direction of the Expanded Learning Site Supervisor, the provider facilitates and implements program activities, delivers assigned instruction to TK–12 students, and supervises students. The role offers hands-on experience in a school environment as a potential career pathway in public education. The listed pay rate is $21 per hour; individuals meeting defined attendance performance standards may be eligible for an hourly bonus. Hiring is for November and December.
